Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with questions related to accounting software processes, ledger entry, navigation, and other troubleshooting needs. You will work independently from your home office, providing customer support via phone and utilizing your expertise in bookkeeping and accounting to resolve customer issues in a professional and courteous manner. As a remote independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to create your own schedule and work at times that are convenient for you, as long as you are available to work between 8 am and 8 pm CST, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer support to clients via phone, responding to questions and resolving issues related to accounting software
- Utilize your expertise in bookkeeping and accounting to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner
- Assist customers with navigation, ledger entry, and other accounting software processes
- Work independently from your home office, maintaining a quiet and organized workspace
- Meet or exceed performance standards, including customer satisfaction and issue resolution rates
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software
- Bookkeeping and accounting expertise, including experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, and reconciliation
- Customer service experience, with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service over the phone in a virtual or "brick and mortar" call center environment
- Strong ownership of customer issues, with the ability to take control of the situation and provide confident resolution
- Tech-savvy, with experience using computers and software applications
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a friendly tone and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
