We're seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team and support the accurate and timely submission of Medicare claims for nursing home residents. **Responsibilities**
As a Billing Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Completing and submitting UB-04 claim forms accurately and in compliance with Medicare guidelines
* Utilizing DDE systems to enter and manage claims directly with Medicare
* Using Inovalon software for claims tracking, data verification, and performance optimization
* Reviewing resident data and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and billing accuracy
* Following up on claim rejections, denials, and adjustments; correcting and resubmitting as necessary
* Coordinating with nursing home staff and billing departments to resolve discrepancies
* Maintaining organized records of all billing activities and documentation
* Staying up-to-date with Medicare regulations and billing changes relevant to skilled nursing facilities
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Proven experience in data entry or billing within a healthcare setting, preferably long-term care or nursing homes
* Familiarity with Medicare billing, especially using UB-04 forms
* Experience with DDE systems and Inovalon software is required
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
* High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical billing is a plus
