Executive Vice President of Corporate Development Reports to: CEO Department: Corporate Development / Strategy / Investment Level: Executive Vice President (EVP) Position Overview The Executive Vice President of Corporate Development is responsible for leading the company’s growth through mergers & acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, investments, and capital initiatives. This role plays a critical part in shaping the company’s expansion strategy and long-term value creation. Role Focus: Growth through capital, partnerships, and strategic transactions. Key Responsibilities • Corporate Growth Strategy Define and execute corporate development strategy aligned with company goals. Identify growth opportunities across markets, products, and geographies. Support long-term expansion and scaling initiatives. • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Lead end-to-end M&A processes (sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, execution). Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence. Manage integration of acquired businesses. • Strategic Partnerships & Alliances Develop and manage high-impact partnerships. Structure joint ventures, strategic alliances, and ecosystem collaborations. Expand the company’s market reach and capabilities. • Investment & Capital Strategy Evaluate and execute strategic investments. Support fundraising, investor engagement, and capital allocation decisions. Work closely with finance on capital structure optimization. • Market & Competitive Intelligence Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities. Identify disruptive technologies and strategic threats. Provide insights to executive leadership. • Executive & Board Engagement Advise CEO and Board on strategic transactions and growth initiatives. Present investment opportunities and business cases. Support decision-making on high-impact deals. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. 18+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategy. Proven track record in M&A and strategic transactions. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation skills. Preferred MBA or equivalent advanced degree. Experience in fintech, crypto, or high-growth technology companies. Strong network within capital markets and investment community.
