Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI and Excel to support business decision-making
- Develop and maintain data quality standards and controls to ensure data integrity and accessibility
- Manage and develop new data pipelines from source systems to the Data Warehouse
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements, maintain comprehensive documentation, and obtain service sign-offs for all reporting requirements
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting pipelines and data models
- Apply data storytelling principles to create clear and impactful data visualizations using Power BI
- Assist in automating existing business processes and improving exception-based reporting
- Work with IT and Business Analysts to investigate, research, and acquire new data variables (data exploration)
- Analyze large datasets to identify meaningful patterns and trends that provide actionable insights
- Validate data for accuracy by verifying against standards and resolving discrepancies
- Participate in the Data Governance program by updating the data dictionary and policies & procedures
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a business intelligence or reporting role
- Strong experience working with Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
- Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code, with the ability to write complex queries and scripts
- Experience with ETL tools, including SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other Big Data integrations
- Solid data modeling experience using star schema or other methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify meaningful patterns and trends
- Experience with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, and Power Query
- Familiarity with Smartsheets and other project management tools
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a remote team environment, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practices, with experience participating in data governance programs
