The Enterprise Director of Facilities is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of the organization’s real estate portfolio and facilities operations. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and compliant management of leased properties while aligning real estate strategy with overall corporate objectives.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in portfolio management, construction oversight, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, multi-site operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or related field
15+ years of progressive experience in facilities and real estate management
Proven experience managing large, multi-site portfolios (corporate or enterprise level)
Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight
Experience leading construction and renovation projects
Demonstrated success leading large teams (including multi-site staff and vendors)
Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder relationships
Ability to influence executive leadership and drive strategic decisions
Experience managing global real estate portfolios
Background in government contracting, or large-scale corporate environments
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
Current DoD Top Secret Clearance
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage Astrion’s real estate and portfolio management to include a global portfolio of leased properties, including acquisitions, lease renewals, and negotiations
Develop and execute long-term real estate strategies aligned with business growth and operational needs
Manage subleases, consolidations, expansions, and business registrations across the portfolio
Lead lease negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
Direct all facility operations including engineering, maintenance, and vendor services
Ensure optimal performance of building systems and infrastructure
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, ADA, EEO, etc.)
Balance reactive and preventive maintenance programs and manage maintenance backlogs
Develop, manage, and forecast operating and capital budgets
Oversee P&L performance for facilities and real estate operations
Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on financial performance and portfolio metricsLead construction, renovation, and office design projects from concept through completion
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Manage relocations and workplace transitions across the portfolio
Negotiate and manage service contracts (janitorial, landscaping, engineering services, etc.)
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, landlords, contractors, architects, and service providers
Oversee vendor performance and ensure service level expectations are met
Collaborate with IT, security, HR, and business units to optimize workplace strategy
Lead and mentor facilities teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and cost management
