POSITION SUMMARY
The position will serve as engagement manager for various multiple consulting engagements with our clients and will also act as a consultant to current and prospective accounts to understand needs and recommend appropriate solutions. This position involves client relationship building, executive level communications/presentations, reviewing and monitoring the quality of client deliverables, supervising engagement teams, as well as scoping and estimating new engagements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Engagement Delivery (75%)
Manage day-to-day engagement delivery, including the resolution of any matters that arise and related communications with clients and Solution Executive
Manage clients’ expectations and related communications, usually in conjunction with Solution Executive
Provide detailed tracking of Tasks and Deliverables
Ensure quality and timeliness of Deliverables
Prepare estimates at completion and monitor/resolve any budget overruns/shortfalls
Provide status reports of work on all active engagements
Manage scope and financials for engagements and assist in keeping the engagement on track for time, budget, and deliverables
Monitor engagements, ensuring scope and contract compliance
Manage quality of Delivery and communicate to client, Solution Executive and Account Management and Recruiting teams if issues arise
Performance management for engagement teams
Sales Support (20%)
Identify new Client Managers and opportunities within the accounts you are currently managing engagements
Develop new business with new and existing accounts
Estimate and scope new project opportunities in support of Oxford sales professionals
Preparation of estimates and budgets for new engagements
Support existing Oxford sales team members to position, propose, sell and close new services business
Develop and maintain client manager-level relationships
Managing the Business (5%)
Manage assigned specific focus areas to support the foundation of the business in support of Oxford’s sales teams
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems; MBA preferred
5+ years of consulting experience
5+ years industry-specific experience for designated industry focus area
Big 5 consulting experience (or similar) at Manager or Senior Manager level
Experience managing, setting priorities, solving complex problems and selling in a consultative role
Ability to lead and mentor IT Staffing Sales Directors and Local Account Managers
Performance Manager experience with at least two (2) professionals concurrently
Successfully managed engagement teams comprised of at least five (5) professionals per engagement
Excellent verbal and written communications skills is a must
Good organization skills
Proven knowledge of MS Office products; advanced Excel & PowerPoint
Knowledge of Project Management principles, methodologies, and alternative delivery approaches, such as Agile
Experience with onboarding/off-boarding associates/consultants with clients
Experience with project/program portfolio management, tracking and collaboration tools such as: Clarity, HP PPM, PlanView, SharePoint, OWB, MS Project, Jira, TFS, etc.
Great customer relationship management focus
Results oriented with a high sense of urgency to meet client requirements
Experience with resources planning, budgeting and forecasting
Ability to maintain regular attendance and work all hours necessary or required
Supervision Exercised: Engagement Delivery Coordinator, others as assigned
Supervision Received: Managing Director, Consulting Services
