Electrical Engineer (Control Systems) Position Overview We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of custom control systems across a variety of industrial applications. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality electrical designs that meet project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop control panel and electrical system solutions based on project requirements and applicable standards. • Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical or similar). • Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) ensuring component compatibility and availability. • Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, voltage drop, and short circuit analysis. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather requirements and drive project completion. • Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and best practices. • Support manufacturing teams by troubleshooting and providing technical guidance. • Assist with component selection and vendor coordination. • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes (NEC, UL, IEC, etc.). • Improve design processes focused on efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • 2+ years of experience in control panel or electrical system design. • Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar. • Strong understanding of electrical systems and power distribution. • Knowledge of NEC, UL, IEC, or other relevant standards. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Reporting Structure Reports to: Engineering Manager or equivalent leadership role
