Job Title Director, Solutions Architecture Job Description Summary The Director of Solutions Architecture is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the development of technical, operations-focused solutions in response to client RFPs, renewals, and strategic pursuits. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Solutions Architecture and manages a team of Solution Architects. This is not a software engineering or IT role - it is focused on designing and costing services related to facilities and integrated facilities services grounded in operational realities such as workloads, staffing models, maintenance programs, and production environments. The Director will play a critical role in advancing the organization’s solutioning capabilities by delivering data-driven, quantitative solutions and building repeatable processes, tools, and standards that improve quality, consistency, and win rates across key verticals including life sciences, manufacturing, and logistics.Job Description Key Responsibilities    Leadership & Team Development  Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solutions Architects, fostering a high-performance, solution-oriented culture   Provide hands-on guidance on complex pursuits and technical solution development   Build team capabilities in quantitative modeling, operational design, and vertical expertise   Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and career development pathways       Technical Solutioning & RFP Leadership    Lead the design of solutions for RFPs and client pursuits, including:   Workload assessments and demand modeling   Staffing strategies and labor optimization   Maintenance program design (preventive, predictive, reliability-centered)   Equipment planning, including MHE (Material Handling Equipment) in logistics environments   Mobile Maintenance & Engineering (routes, drive times, billable rates, etc.)  Translate client requirements into practical, executable, and cost-effective operating models   Ensure solutions are aligned with operational feasibility, service delivery models, and margin targets       Quantitative Modeling & Analytics    Develop and oversee data-driven, quantitative models to support solution design and pricing   Leverage industry-standard benchmarks, analytics, and data insights to inform staffing, cost structures, and performance expectations   Partner with costing teams to validate assumptions and ensure financial accuracy   Use analytics to differentiate solutions and improve competitiveness       Process Optimization & Solutioning Excellence    Design and implement standardized solutioning processes, frameworks, and methodologies   Develop repeatable tools, templates, and key documents to improve efficiency and consistency across pursuits   Continuously refine the solutioning approach based on lessons learned, win/loss insights, and market trends   Drive innovation in how solutions are structured, modeled, and presented       Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management    Partner closely with Business Development, Operations, and Costing to align on pursuit strategy and solution design   Act as a key stakeholder in pursuit planning, strategy sessions, and client engagement activities   Ensure alignment between solution design and operational execution capabilities   Communicate complex technical solutions in a clear, compelling manner to both internal and external stakeholders       Client Engagement & Commercial Support    Participate in client meetings, site walkthroughs, and solutioning workshops   Support presentations and proposal defenses with a strong technical and operational narrative   Build credibility with client stakeholders, including operations and engineering leaders       Qualifications    Required  Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field   10+ years of experience in facilities, facility services, facilities management, or related operational environments   Experience developing technical, operations-based solutions for RFPs and complex service engagements   5+ years of experience leading or mentoring technical or solutioning teams   Strong expertise in:   Workload analysis and staffing model development   Maintenance strategies and operational design   Quantitative modeling and data-driven decision-making   Demonstrated ability to build structured, repeatable processes and tools       Preferred    Experience in one or more of the following:   Manufacturing / production maintenance   Logistics / distribution environments (including MHE systems)   Life sciences / regulated environments   Familiarity with CMMS / EAM systems   Lean, Six Sigma, or reliability engineering experience   Advanced degree (MBA or technical discipline)         Core Competencies Accuracy and competitiveness of staffing and cost models   Adoption and effectiveness of standardized solutioning tools and processes   Team development and performance   Client feedback during are both operationally sound and commercially compelling   Brings strong technical credibility in production, maintenance, and logistics environments   Elevates team capability in quantitative, The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
