At Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are looking for a Director, R&D Software Engineering to lead the modernization, scalability, and reliability of our software platforms supporting Digital Physiology solutions and clinical trial technologies across cardiac and respiratory studies.

This is a unique opportunity for a highly technical engineering leader to shape the future of clinical research technology by driving innovation, platform transformation, and operational excellence. The Director will combine deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and organizational leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that help advance Clario’s mission of transforming patients’ lives through technology-enabled clinical research.

The Director will oversee multiple engineering teams responsible for software development, architecture, DevOps modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting approximately 4 direct reports and 60–70 engineering resources, including contractors. The ideal candidate will have experience modernizing enterprise software platforms, improving system reliability and observability, and leading large-scale engineering organizations in complex, regulated environments.
