Our client, a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to community empowerment and social impact, is seeking an accomplished Director of Philanthropy & Grant Management to lead their fundraising efforts in Seattle, Washington, US . This pivotal role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and overseeing all aspects of grant writing and management. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of success in securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants. Responsibilities: Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to meet annual revenue goals. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations. Oversee the grant lifecycle, including prospect research, proposal development, submission, and reporting. Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, ensuring consistent engagement and support. Organize and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals. Collaborate with the executive leadership team and board of directors on fundraising initiatives. Maintain accurate donor records and manage the donor database (CRM system). Prepare compelling grant proposals, reports, and other fundraising collateral. Analyze fundraising data and provide regular reports on progress towards goals. Stay informed about trends and best practices in philanthropy and nonprofit management. Supervise and mentor development staff, including grant writers and donor relations coordinators. Ensure compliance with all ethical fundraising standards and relevant regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree or CFRE certification preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or grant management within the non-profit sector. Demonstrated success in cultivating and soliciting major gifts and securing foundation grants. Exceptional grant writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of the grant application process. Proficiency with donor management software and CRM systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce). Strong strategic planning, analytical, and organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams, volunteers, and leadership. Passion for the organization's mission and a deep commitment to social impact.
