A private equity-backed organization in the safety and security space is seeking a Director of FP&A to support its next phase of growth. This role partners closely with senior leadership and investors to drive financial strategy, performance management, and decision support, while helping build scalable finance processes, systems, and reporting to support profitability and cash generation.

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, performance management, and executive decision support. This role will partner closely with senior leadership and private equity stakeholders, providing rigorous analysis, forward-looking insights, and scalable financial infrastructure to support growth, profitability, and cash generation.
The ideal candidate brings meaningful experience in PE-backed operating environments, strong leadership capability, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Director of FP&A Key Responsibilities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning aligned with strategic and private equity objectives.
• Deliver KPI reporting, variance analysis, and actionable insights across business units and acquisitions.
• Prepare executive, Board, and investor reporting; partner closely with the CFO on financial strategy.
• Build and scale FP&A systems, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure (ERP/BI).
• Partner with operational leaders to drive margin improvement, pricing, working capital, and ROI analysis.
• Own liquidity management, including 13-week cash flow forecasting and lender reporting.
• Support M&A activity, including diligence, modeling, integration planning, and post-close performance tracking.
Director of FP&A Qualifications
• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance
• Prior experience working in private equity-backed companies strongly preferred
• Proven experience partnering with executive leadership and presenting to Boards and investors
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus
