Job description: Company : Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :GENERAL OVERVIEW:The Operations Director plans, organizes, directs, oversees and manages the operations of the Health Information Management (HIM) Department. Works closely with the Medical Staff, nursing and ancillary departments to assure compliance with JC, DOH, CMS and other regulatory bodies on requirements for documentation and record completion. Interprets regulations, policies and procedures, recommends changes as appropriate and provides relevant feedback to upper management as required. Optimizes reimbursement, controls costs and increases efficiency in the delivery of health information management services. Responsible for daily operations and data requests for multiple facilities.
