About the Role • *Will consider remote candidates from CT, FL, GA, IL, KY, MA, MS, NY, OH, TX, WI • * We’re looking for a hands-on Director of Marketplaces to own and scale our Amazon business end-to-end. This is not a “strategy-only” role, you’ll be in the weeds, driving execution across operations, logistics, content, and performance marketing, while also leading a specialized team. You should know Amazon like an operator, not a spectator. That means you’ve personally managed Seller/Vendor Central, fixed broken listings at midnight, optimized PPC campaigns, and navigated inventory issues without blaming “the algorithm.” This role is ideal for someone who has built or scaled a brand-side Amazon business and understands how all levers, content, media, pricing, supply chain, work together to drive profitable growth. Just as importantly, you know how to lead and align a team to execute against those levers effectively. Key Responsibilities Amazon Business Ownership • Own the full Amazon P&L, including revenue, profitability, and growth targets • Develop and execute the marketplace strategy across all Amazon programs (FBA, FBM, Vendor/Seller Central) • Identify and unlock growth opportunities across assortment, pricing, and channel or international/marketplace expansion Team Leadership & Management • Lead a cross-functional marketplace team, including: • Paid Ads Specialist (Amazon Advertising) • Content Lead (Storefront, A+ Content, PDP optimization) • Marketplace support (case management, execution) • Contract resources as needed • Act as a player-coach, lead by example through a "get-it-done" approach, stepping into the work to unblock the team while simultaneously coaching them toward independent mastery • Set clear roles, priorities, and accountability across the team to ensure efficient, high-quality execution • Establish a strong operating cadence (weekly priorities, reporting, and communication) • Mentor and develop team members within their functional areas, while reinforcing shared ownership of overall Amazon performance • Ensure tight coordination between Paid Media and Content to maximize both traffic and conversion • Manage bandwidth and resourcing effectively, including contractor support during peak periods or coverage gaps • Identify and address gaps in team structure, processes, or capabilities • Manage the hiring and training of new team members • Responsible for yearly performance reviews Operations & Logistics • Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and in-stock rates • Manage FBA operations, replenishment, and capacity constraints • Track IPI score & inventory health • Partner cross-functionally to prevent stockouts, excess inventory, and operational inefficiencies • Troubleshoot listing suppression, stranded inventory, and account health issues • Monitor unauthorized seller & trademark infringement Content & Conversion Optimization • Own PDP performance across titles, bullets, A+ content, images, and Brand Store • Lead keyword strategy and SEO optimization to improve organic ranking • Guide ongoing testing and optimization of conversion drivers (creative, pricing, reviews, promotions) • Ensure high-quality, on-brand execution across all PDP and Storefront content Paid Media & Performance Marketing • Own Amazon Advertising strategy (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP) • Oversee campaign structure, budgets, and bidding strategy to hit TACOS/ROAS targets • Partner closely with the Paid Ads Specialist to scale performance while maintaining efficiency • Leverage tools and platforms as needed, while maintaining strong native platform expertise Promotions & Pricing Strategy • Develop and execute promotional strategies (Deals, Coupons, Prime events) • Monitor competitive landscape and pricing dynamics • Balance growth with margin discipline Analytics & Reporting • Build and maintain reporting across traffic, conversion, CAC, and contribution margin • Translate data into clear actions and business decisions • Provide regular performance updates with a focus on what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next As a CURiO Leader and Manager • Lead with an ownership mindset, accountable for both team performance and business outcomes • Foster a culture of execution, accountability, and continuous improvement • Provide clear Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
