Designer - Ecommerce & CRO (Shopify)

Responsibilities • Translate briefs into high-quality, functional designs aligned with client goals and audiences • Create source of truth documentation with detailed annotations and assets to developers and other team members • Build and maintain comprehensive Figma design systems and component libraries • Find ways to bring your work to life through motion design or high-fidelity prototypes • Advise clients on e-commerce and UX best practices Requirements • 2+ years of agency or freelance experience, preferably in-house at DTC brands and/or agencies • Proven experience designing for Shopify storefronts • Proficient in Figma (including prototyping and variable component systems) • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly present design decisions • Self-managed and proactive, with strong organization and attention to detail • Comfortable working asynchronously in a remote-first environment • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and present findings and articulate design rationale • Passion for working in a highly iterative, collaborative environment where people share work and contribute with a positive attitude • An enthusiastic, flexible, and curious mindset that appreciates popular culture and advocates for a design-driven approach • A portfolio showcasing your work Benefits • Duration: 3 months (possible extension) • Approximately 15 hours weekly • Pay: $20 per hour • This is a contract role with no employment benefits Equal Employment Opportunity • UN/COMMON is an equal opportunity employer and fosters an inclusive environment. • We welcome people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to apply.
