Job Overview: Data Entry Representative
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Entry Representative to support our Quest Diagnostics operations in San Juan, PR. As a Data Entry Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes, including data entry, data acquisition, manual mail returns, and third-party denials. Primary Responsibilities: Driving Accuracy and Efficiency
- Accurately enter billing mnemonics and required billing information from imaged requisitions into our systems, ensuring data integrity and attention to detail.
- Follow procedural guidelines to enter information into various computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, online applications, and mainframe applications, and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Conduct basic research in computer applications to perform data entry tasks, such as verifying addresses, billing codes, and reject codes.
- Utilize templates for data entry and correspondence, ensuring consistency and efficiency in our billing processes.
- Transfer received data from Quest Diagnostics into required applications to initiate the billing cycle, ensuring seamless data flow and minimal delays.
- Research and resolve mail returns by updating invoices with current information in our billing system and annotating patient bills with actions taken.
- Investigate denied bills due to patient coverage issues, errors in patient or insurance information, and resolve these issues for re-billing, ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely billing statements.
Essential Qualifications: The Foundation for Success
- 1+ year of data entry experience, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency in data management.
- Customer service experience, showcasing excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients and stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with computers, Windows PC, and web applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
- Ability to work 40 hours/week during standard business operating hours (Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm), with occasional overtime on weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Application
