Job Description:
• Provide virtual services to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy virtual schools
• Connect with students using webcams and web conferencing software
• Provide counseling sessions, evaluations, and social work support for students
• Offer individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, behavioral, or social issues
• Evaluate students' needs and develop personalized intervention plans
• Respond to and manage crises, such as bullying or family problems
• Work with families to address issues affecting the student’s school experience and connect them with community resources
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies for student success
• Advocate for students’ needs within the school and community
• Provide workshops and training for students, staff, and families on relevant topics
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress, and interventions
Requirements:
• LCSW, LMSW, LICSW, LPC or DOE School Counselor License
• 2+ years' experience in K-12 school setting
• Strong technology skills
• High degree of flexibility and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Preference for those who are licensed in: Michigan, Colorado, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Ohio, Texas, Maine
