Controller (Contract-to-Hire) | Fully Remote | P/E SaaS
Our client, a rapidly growing PE-backed technology services organization, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and scale its accounting operations within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an operationally minded accounting leader who enjoys balancing strategic ownership with day-to-day execution while helping modernize processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure.
The organization operates a recurring revenue/subscription-based business model and is preparing for continued M&A activity and long-term scaling initiatives over the next several years.
This opportunity is in a contract to hire capacity and will require candidates be able to interview and start quickly!
Converting salary ranges will fall between $150-200k + Bonus

Key Responsibilities
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close/reporting processes
• Oversee GL, AP, billing, and collections operations
• Manage and mentor accounting staff in a “player-coach” capacity
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and workflow optimization
• Maintain audit-ready financials and strong internal controls
• Support M&A integration activities and financial operations scaling
• Serve as functional owner of ERP/accounting systems
• Partner cross-functionally with leadership across finance and operations
Ideal Background
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Blend of public accounting and corporate accounting preferred
• Subscription revenue / recurring revenue experience required
• SaaS, technology, MSP, or PE-backed company experience preferred
• Strong systems/process implementation experience
• Experience operating in fast-paced/high-growth environments
• Sage Intacct and Bill.com experience strongly preferred
• CPA preferred but not required
