This is a Full-Time, remote position for an individual passionate about building and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the systems that power our core services, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and highly available. The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $160,000 USD per annum, dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the backbone of our service delivery. Your key duties will include:
Designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
Automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code principles.
Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring optimal uptime and reliability for our web hosting and domain services.
Implementing and maintaining robust security measures and best practices to protect company assets and customer data.
Managing containerisation and orchestration platforms, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support the software development lifecycle.
Collaborating closely with development teams to optimise application performance and facilitate seamless deployments.
Performing cost analysis and optimising cloud expenditure to ensure financial efficiency.
Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key qualifications include:
Proven professional experience in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Solid experience with containerisation technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
A thorough understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing.
Experience with CI/CD tools and implementing automated pipelines.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote team.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
