CAD Designer – Energy Parks

Job Description: • Create and maintain engineering drawings that help bring integrated energy campuses to life. • Work alongside electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical engineers to develop site layouts, utility infrastructure plans, substations, transmission systems, solar energy, wind energy, battery storage facilities, and data center support infrastructure. • Supports estimating and engineering efforts with quantity takeoffs, drafting, modeling, and data analysis. • Generate bid quantities and perform takeoffs for bid items. • Communicate any discrepancies to estimators. • Create and maintain detailed CAD drawings and design packages for utility-scale Energy Parks projects. • Develop site layouts, electrical plans, civil drawings, equipment arrangements, and construction documentation. • Assist with integrated energy campus designs that may include multiple technologies. • Track and monitor design changes and communicate updates to project teams. Requirements: • Minimum of a two-year technical degree in Drafting and Design – Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical. • Experience supporting integrated energy infrastructure projects that combine multiple technologies such as gas generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, transmission, renewable energy, and data center infrastructure. • Utility-scale power generation experience, including combined cycle, gas turbine, or other dispatchable generation facilities.
