Job Description:
• Mentor Production Design I by assisting in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Apply proven product knowledge to candidacy assessment and revision cases by assessing clinical information provided in video, images, and/or other various media.
• Work autonomously to successfully complete projects in collaboration with both the R&D and Manufacturing teams.
• Audit completed custom design files and release to production.
• Provide design training to Production Designer I as directed by the Product Design Manager.
• Work independently to achieve assigned objectives.
• Design in various software environments to create custom-fit prosthetic device designs and design revisions.
• Use calibrated tools to collect measurements from physical casts or utilize CAD software to analyze digital scans and/or scale digital images.
• Analyze client data and collaborate with clinical experts to establish a design framework.
• Generate design documentation and communication considerations for customer-facing departments.
• Work closely with in-house clinical experts to evaluate the fit of devices on the end-user.
• Implement and recommend modifications to existing designs as needed.
• Transfer CAD design files to ERP software, manage the bill of materials, and work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that the product aligns with the design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot production-related challenges related to custom product design and recommend solutions.
• Adhere to established requirements and procedures within the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust and credibility as a design professional.
• Exercise good use of company funds and property within the set guidelines.
• Always maintains an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative.
• Contribute to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards.
Requirements:
• Vocation certification or an associate’s degree
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in CAD design systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated knowledge of prosthetic design principles
• Self-motivated and dependable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well as a team member and leader.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
• Attention to detail, thoroughness.
• Open-mindedness, creativity.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of prosthetic device design.
• Familiarity with GD&T drawing standard
