Business Development Representative – Product  **Location:** Remote (eligible states include AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, NC, NV, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI)  **Job Type:** Full-Time / Salaried  **Compensation:** $45,000–$55,000 base salary plus commission and bonus opportunities  **On-Target Earnings (OTE):** $75,000–$90,000+ with no cap  Business Development Representative (BDR) – QuickBooks & Intuit Solutions  Position Summary  The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a high-energy, revenue-focused member of the sales team responsible for creating opportunities, building relationships, and driving product sales from conversation to close.  This role combines fast response to inbound leads with proactive outbound outreach to prospective and existing customers. The BDR will focus primarily on selling QuickBooks and Intuit products, while also identifying opportunities for related solutions and services that support the client’s accounting, financial, and operational needs.  As one of the first points of contact for many clients, the BDR plays a key role in setting the tone for the customer’s experience. This person knows how to connect quickly, ask smart questions, uncover business needs, recommend solutions, and move customers toward a purchase or the appropriate next step.  The BDR is not just qualifying leads — they are actively engaging customers, positioning products, creating urgency, following up with purpose, and closing or advancing sales opportunities. When a client needs become more complex, the BDR will coordinate with the appropriate Account Executive, consultant, or internal expert to ensure the customer receives the right guidance and solution.  This role is ideal for someone who is competitive, driven, adaptable, and relationship focused. The right candidate enjoys sales, thrives on activity, follows up consistently, and is motivated by turning conversations into revenue while helping businesses choose the right solutions.    Key Responsibilities  Inbound Lead Management  Respond promptly to inbound leads from marketing, referral, partner, website, and other lead channels   Engage prospects quickly to understand their business needs, pain points, goals, timeline, and buying intent   Conduct discovery conversations that uncover product fit, urgency, budget, decision-making process, and next steps   Recommend and position appropriate QuickBooks and Intuit solutions based on the customer’s needs  Provide product demonstrations to prospective customers, highlighting relevant features, benefits, and use cases   Educate prospects on product options, licensing, subscriptions, support offerings, payroll, payments, hosting, and related solutions   Create urgency and guide prospects toward a purchase decision   Prepare or assist with quotes, product recommendations, and next-step communications  Follow up consistently to move inbound opportunities forward and close product sales   Identify opportunities for related Fourlane services, including file review, data migration, training, consulting, and advisory support  Route or coordinate more complex consulting, implementation, or service opportunities with Account Executives, consultants, or senior sales resources while maintaining strong customer experience  Outbound Prospecting & Customer Re-Engagement  Conduct outbound calls and email campaigns to existing customers and dormant accounts  Re-engage prior leads and identify new sales opportunities within the current customer base  Generate interest in upgrades, renewals, additional licenses, and related solutions  Promote new Intuit offerings, support plans, payroll, payments, and hosting services   Maintain ongoing communication touchpoints to drive customer retention and expansion opportunities   Product Sales Focus  Drive sales and opportunity generation for:  Intuit Enterprise Suite  QuickBooks Desktop   QuickBooks Online   QuickBooks Support   Intuit Payments   Intuit Payroll   QuickBooks Desktop Hosting   3rd Party Applications  Key Focus Areas  Promote and position Intuit solutions based on customer needs  Identify upgrade and cross-sell opportunities  Support mid-market growth initiatives through Enterprise Suite lead generation   Maintain strong product knowledge across the Intuit ecosystem   Sales Development Activities  Build and maintain an active pipeline of product sales and service opportunities  Document customer interactions, demo notes, buying signals, objections, and follow-up activity within CRM systems   Conduct product demos for QuickBooks and Intuit solutions when appropriate to support the sales process  Schedule meetings or advanced demos with Account Executives, consultants, or product experts for more complex opportunities   Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership on campaigns, outreach strategies, and customer re-engagement initiatives   Consistently follow up on open opportunities, nurture long-term prospects, and move qualified buyers toward close  Qualifications  Required Qualifications  1–3+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or inside sales  Strong verbal and written communication skills   Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging customers proactively   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail   Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment   Preferred Qualifications  Experience selling SaaS, accounting software, or technology solutions  Familiarity with QuickBooks or Intuit products   Experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools   Exposure to outbound sales campaigns and lead nurturing   Basic understanding of small business operations or accounting workflows   Core Competencies  Relationship Building  Ability
