Business Development Leader

Job Description: • Take full ownership of business development activities across Germany and Austria. • Build and execute winning sales strategies that deliver measurable growth and expand our regional footprint. • Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities — from first contact to contract signature. • Develop deep relationships with senior stakeholders in pharma, biotech, and related industries. • Translate client needs into tailored PSS service solutions that deliver value and strengthen long-term partnerships. • Lead proposal development, commercial negotiations, and contracting processes with support from senior leadership. • Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers, site leaders, and global teams to maximise cross-selling and strategic alignment. • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and CRM-compliant reporting. • Represent Eurofins PSS at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to elevate our brand presence. • Drive continuous improvement by identifying new service opportunities and market trends. Requirements: • Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent business/vocational qualification; additional business or finance training is a plus. • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, ideally within the pharmaceutical or GxP-regulated environment. • Proven success selling complex service solutions to senior decision-makers. • Experience with insourcing, outsourcing, managed services, or laboratory services is highly advantageous. • Strong understanding of product commercialisation, manufacturing, supply chain processes, and associated testing/service needs. • Excellent German and English communication skills. • Ability to influence across functions, collaborate across sites, and build strong internal and external networks. • Credibility and confidence when engaging with senior leadership. • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on commercial drive. • High energy, resilience, and a passion for opening new markets and winning new clients.
