Business Analyst - Transmission (Utilities)

CTG is seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Transmission (Utilities) to support transmission operations, planning, asset management, and technology initiatives for our client. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, IT, and vendors to drive process improvements, gather and document requirements, and support enterprise utility systems and transmission programs.   Location: RemoteDuration: 8 months Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for transmission initiatives and operational improvements. Support transmission planning, operations, maintenance, engineering, and asset management teams with process analysis and reporting. Analyze transmission-related data including outages, load flow, work orders, performance metrics, and operational trends. Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to support business decision-making and leadership visibility. Translate technical utility concepts such as SCADA/EMS, GIS, substations, and protection/control systems into business requirements. Partner with IT teams and vendors on system implementations, integrations, and enhancements involving SAP, Maximo, GIS, OMS, EAM, and related applications. Lead process mapping and workflow optimization efforts to improve operational efficiency and compliance. Support budgeting, business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and regulatory reporting activities. Required Qualifications 7+ years of Business Analyst experience within utilities, energy, or transmission environments. Strong understanding of electric transmission operations, utility business processes, and infrastructure projects. Experience with requirements gathering, business process mapping, and stakeholder engagement. Familiarity with utility platforms such as SAP, Maximo, GIS, SCADA/EMS, OMS, or EAM systems. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting transmission planning, grid operations, or utility asset management programs. Exposure to regulatory reporting, rate-case support, or utility compliance initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline preferred. Thank you!   The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $120,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
