About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst Manufacturing Operations to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will support and drive our digital manufacturing initiatives by bridging the gap between manufacturing operations, engineering, and IT.
Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing manufacturing execution systems (MES), streamlining operational processes, and improving overall manufacturing efficiency across our facilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, engineering, and IT to design, implement, and optimize modern manufacturing capabilities that are scalable, compliant, and data-driven. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality products efficiently while maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10-15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in Manufacturing Operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, validation protocols, and manufacturing data integrity standards.
• Experience working with enterprise systems such as ERP (Infor M3), PLM, LIMS, SCADA/DCS, and historian platforms.
• Proficiency with MES systems, including Infor Lighthouse, Rockwell Plex MES, and FactoryTalk ProductionCentre.
• SQL skills and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with AI-driven process improvement initiatives is a plus.
• Certifications such as CBAP, Lean/Six Sigma, APICS, PMP, or related credentials are desirable.
• Knowledge of chemical batch processes and unit operations.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
• Lead discovery, documentation, and prioritization of manufacturing operational processes across multiple plants.
• Translate production, quality, and engineering workflows into structured user stories, functional specifications, and process maps (BPMN / Visio).
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and IT teams to design and enhance MES capabilities, including dispatching, work execution, WIP tracking, PLC enhancements, electronic work instructions, recipe management, and traceability.
• Ensure MES capabilities meet data integrity standards, validation requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead MES testing, training, and deployment activities to ensure successful implementation across manufacturing sites.
• Support integration efforts with enterprise systems such as ERP, PLCs, historians, and serialization systems.
• Develop and maintain master data governance for materials, BOMs, routings, recipes, and equipment.
• Establish and monitor standardized manufacturing KPIs including OEE, FPY, cycle time, yield, and downtime.
• Support organizational change management, SOP updates, and post-implementation hypercare activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
