We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Team Lead to drive revenue growth while leading and developing a team of BDMs within the FX/financial services space. This is a hands-on role that combines individual business development with team leadership, requiring a proven ability to acquire new clients, build strategic partnerships, and scale team performance.
The successful candidate will lead from the front—managing key client relationships, expanding partner networks (IBs and affiliates), and coaching the team to consistently exceed targets. This role plays a critical part in shaping our commercial success and strengthening our market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4–8 BDMs across an assigned market
Actively acquire new business while driving overall team pipeline growth
Own and expand a personal portfolio of key clients, IBs, and strategic partners
Set team KPIs, individual quotas, and performance improvement plans
Manage day-to-day pipeline reviews, deal escalations, and partner negotiations
Partner with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and retention of business development talent
Drive CRM hygiene and ensure adoption of sales processes and best practices
Report team performance and key metrics to senior leadership on a weekly and monthly basis
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within FX or financial services, including people management experience
Must bring an active portfolio of clients, IBs, and/or partner relationships
Proven ability to acquire new business and coach others to achieve sales targets
Strong understanding of the FX industry, IB model, and partner ecosystem
Strong analytical skills, with experience using sales dashboards and forecasting tools
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
