Part-Time | Fully Remote | Environmental Engineering Design Hanley Environmental is seeking an experienced AutoCAD / GIS Design Technician to support environmental engineering design projects and technical report preparation. This part-time, fully remote role will focus on preparing high-quality design drawings and figures for vapor intrusion mitigation systems, radon mitigation systems, environmental assessments, and related consulting deliverables. Hanley Environmental is a boutique environmental consulting and engineering firm founded in 2021. We specialize in environmental site assessment, remediation, and vapor intrusion mitigation, with a remote-first structure and a collaborative, technically focused culture. This position is expected to average approximately 16 to 20 hours per week, with workload varying by project needs. Responsibilities • Prepare AutoCAD drawings for environmental engineering design projects. • Incorporate vapor intrusion mitigation and radon mitigation designs into building architectural and engineering plan sets. • Prepare plan sheets, details, layouts, markups, and drawing revisions. • Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil drawing backgrounds to support design integration. • Coordinate with project managers and engineers to produce accurate, clear, and professional drawings. • Prepare report figures, including site plans, sample location maps, and related graphics. • Generate GIS-based figures for environmental consulting deliverables. • Maintain organized drawing files, templates, layers, references, and project documentation. • Support quality control review of drawings and figures prior to submittal. Qualifications • Experience preparing drawings in AutoCAD. • Experience with building plans, architectural drawings, engineering plans, or construction drawing sets strongly preferred. • Ability to interpret architectural, engineering, and contractor-provided drawings. • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, organized, professional drawings. • GIS figure preparation experience preferred. • Environmental consulting, vapor intrusion, radon mitigation, remediation, or site assessment experience helpful but not required. • Self-motivated, responsive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and meet project deadlines.
