As an Assistant General Counsel in Europe, you will be part of our expanding in‑house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level transactional attorney, particularly someone coming from a large law firm, to transition into a broad-based in-house role at a dynamic company.
The ideal candidate will be a smart, adaptable, and hardworking legal generalist who enjoys being a utility player across a wide variety of legal matters. Medical device background with spine specialization is required. Strong foundation in corporate or transactional law is essential, along with excellent judgment, organization, and communication skills.
WhatYou’llDo:
- Assist with a variety of corporate, commercial, and transactional legal matters, including:
- Contract drafting, review, and negotiation (tender agreements, GPOI agreements, distribution agreements, NDAs, vendor/supplier agreements, SaaS, services agreements, etc.)
- Corporate governance and entity management across countries in Europe
- Internal process improvement and policy development
- Support on M&A, financing, or strategic transactions, as needed
- Employment and works council matters
- Provide day-to-day legal support across general corporate matters, governance, employment, compliance, and contract management.
- Work cross-functionally with teams including Finance, HR, Operations, and IT to provide practical legal guidance and help move business initiatives forward.
- Manage and prioritize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Collaborate with outside counsel as needed and help manage workflows and documentation.
- Help improve legal workflows, templates, and internal processes as the legal function continues to scale.
- Maintain organized records and support contract lifecycle processes and legal operations.
What You Bring:
- University degreein law, preferably Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 12+ years of experience, ideally with at least 2 years at a nationally recognized law firm with a focus on corporate, transactional, or commercial law.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills with keen attention to detail.
- A team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to roll up sleeves and take on both high-level and tactical tasks.
- Ability to balance legal risks with business needs and communicate effectively with non-lawyers.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a broad legal role.
- Interest in building scalable legal processes in a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performancetaken into account. Final compensation isdeterminedon acase-by-case basisand considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
