POSITION SUMMARY
Lady Freethinker seeks a Campaign Coordinator to organize, plan, and execute campaign actions and outreach to end animal cruelty and work toward meaningful change. The successful candidate will work closely with LFT leadership to strategize and execute new campaign ideas well as to amplify the impact of existing campaigns.
The Campaign Coordinator will plan and organize on-the-ground demonstrations, online awareness campaigns, billboard placements, and more, and will see these actions to fruition, coordinating all logistics. We’re looking for someone who understands the animal advocacy landscape and knows how to mobilize supporters to take action.
Ideal candidates will enjoy active advocacy, have excellent organizational & writing skills, know how to communicate well with the public, pay close attention to detail, manage their time and tasks well, and demonstrate a commitment to animal welfare.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Working with LFT team members and collaborative partners to organize, plan, and execute educational and policy-driven campaigns, reports, and other materials
• Organizing investigation and campaign images, footage, and other assets on shared drives
• Creating clear, accurate summaries and reports of campaign strategies, investigation results, and rescue aid initiatives from raw materials
• Monitoring existing campaigns for updates
• Ideating & executing innovative campaign actions, both virtual and on-the-ground
• Organizing logistics for all campaign actions, including demonstrations & protests, ensuring that permits, printed materials, and personnel are directed and supported to make the event run smoothly
• Recruiting & managing volunteers and contractors for campaign actions
• Updating the campaigns spreadsheet & calendar on a consistent basisJUYS
• Communicating with both internal and external stakeholders to further LFT’s mission
QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated experience with nonprofit advocacy or other activism-driven work
• Interest in and knowledge of current animal-protection issues and the ability to explain campaigns in a concise, clear manner to audience of all levels
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and communications tools
• Exceptional organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time effectively and efficiently
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivating in an all-remote team
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing LFT’s values, mission, and goals, with an understanding of animal welfare advocacy
HOURS & RATE
Full-time position, 40 hours/week during normal business hours Pacific time
Must reside in Southern California
$25-$30/hour
