Role Overview
The Lead Faculty is a member of the faculty who also holds an administrative appointment related to managing the faculty within a specific academic program. They are responsible for coaching and managing faculty, teaching and instruction, and upholding faculty performance standards and student engagement policies.
What You Will Do
The Lead Faculty will teach 2 courses per quarter, with a total of 8 courses per academic year. They will also coach, manage, and inspire faculty, and provide support to students and faculty in times of need.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in Business/Management, experience working with adult learners, and 5 years of teaching experience at the collegiate level. They will also have strong leadership and strategic planning skills, and experience with computerized learning management systems and education technology tools.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in Business/Management from a regionally accredited institution
- 18 graduate hours in Business Analytics or Technology Management
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with adult learners
- 5 years teaching experience at the collegiate level
- 5 years of professional experience in an organizational setting relevant to Colorado Technical University's programs
- 1 to 3 years of progressive experience managing or coordinating faculty teams
