Accounts Receivable Accountant II

Job Description: • Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing requirements • Manage billing activities within Deltek Costpoint • Review contract documents to ensure billing compliance with federal, state, and commercial guidelines • Perform detailed analysis of project costs, labor, expenses, and revenue recognition • Monitor unbilled receivables and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed • Coordinate with Project Managers and Project Controls to validate billing data and resolve discrepancies • Support and lead project closeout activities, including: final invoice preparation and submission, reconciliation of project costs and revenue, de-obligation of remaining funds, clearing unbilled balances, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant • Assist with internal and external audits as required • Maintain accurate customer records, billing files, and supporting documentation Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 2–4 years of relevant billing or project accounting experience • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance • Experience with Deltek Costpoint • Proven experience in billing or a similar financial role • Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, and PDF document management • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Intermediate mathematical and analytical skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a team Benefits: • Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) participation • 401k Plan • Flexible Work Schedules • Tuition Reimbursement • Co-Sponsored Health Plan • Paid Leave Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
